With the ceramic cartridge, Item No. 519.1005, micro-filtration is carried out due to the porous structure of the ceramic, which allows it to retain all suspended solid particles and bacteria down to 0.9 microns; thus, 99.99% bacteriologically pure water is obtained. In addition, the special silver compound embedded in the ceramic prevents bacterial growth and makes the cartridge self-sterilizing. Activated carbon inside the cartridge improves the taste of water as it can remove harmful chemical compounds such as chlorine, atrazine, phenols, lindane, etc., and reduce the concentration to 150 ppb of toxic lead for about 6 months.
