The STERIL 10" filter is a water conditioner which, coupled with the cartridges supplied, allows to remove huge quantities of suspended solids and bacteria.
In particular, thanks to its ceramic cartridge, it allows to remove up to the 99.99% of suspended solids and bacteria present in the water with a size up to 0.9 microns. It is, therefore, the right filter for all people who want to drink and use pure, bacteria-free water. The results before and after the bacteria analysis clearly show that this filter has such a large filtering and sterilization capacity that it makes it very useful for all people who are currently forced to use contaminated water.
To obtain a better result, it is advisable to also install the Steril filter with activated carbon impregnated with silver salts that allow the absorption of chlorine and many other harmful chemical elements such as arsenic, atrazine, oils, solvents, etc., in series with a Steril 10 "filter with ceramic cartridge, as in the diagram below:
With the combined installation of these two filters a two-stage filtration is achieved; the mechanical filtration with the ceramic cartridge and the chemical filtration with the activated carbon. These filters are therefore essential for houses, hospitals, nursery schools, schools, public offices, hotels, campings, stables, etc.
For the perfect coupling of the two filters and for safety's sake we suggest installing a nipples with a safety valve (art. 552).

STERIL 10" with filtering elements
ACTIVE CARBON
With active carbon drinking water quality is improved by absorbing several harmful and polluting chemicals such as chlorine, atrazine, phenols, lindane etc. and, with the silver salts with which it is impregnated, bacterial proliferation is avoided. The amount of carbon necessary for the Steril filter is approx. 1,500 grams (art. 513.1050) against the other, smaller filters' approx. 300 grams, and guarantee a far superior amount of filtered water;
POLYPHOSPHATE SALT
With polyphosphate salt the lime which would be deposited in the hot water producing equipment's pipes and heating elements is kept in suspension. This way scaling up and blocking of the system's pipes and coils is avoided. The amount of polyphosphate salt necessary for the Steril filter is approx. 4,000 grams (art. 514.1001);
CERAMIC CARTRIDGE
With the ceramic cartridge, art. 519.1005, a micro-filtration is carried out thanks to the porous characteristics of the ceramic which stops all suspended solid particles and bacteria down to 0.9 microns; a 99.99% bacteriologically pure water is thus obtained.
Furthermore, the special silver compound incorporated in the ceramic material prevents bacterial proliferation and makes the cartridge self-sterilizing.
The active carbon inside the cartridge improves the water's taste as it removes harmful chemicals such as chlorine, atrazine, phenols, lindane, etc., and reduces toxic lead's concentration to 150 ppb for about 6 months. Only for Steril 10”.
6 CERAMIC CANDEL MINI KIT
With the kit of 6 ceramic mini candles, art. 526.1000, microfiltration is carried out due to the porous nature of the ceramic which stops all suspended solid particles and bacteria down to 0.9 microns; a 99.99% bacteriologically pure water is obtained due to the six mini candles' high degree of filtration.
The filter elements are self-sterilizing thanks to a special silver compound incorporated in the ceramic material. The water's taste is not altered as the kit only allows a mechanical filtration and guarantees a high level of reliability and safety with respect to other systems based on more complex technologies, which rely on electric power and whose working is more fragile and could be compromised by a power shortage.
More particularly, the six mini candles which make up the kit have the capability of filtering a large amount of water thus making the filter suitable for many uses: in the community such as kindergartens, schools, public offices, hotels, campsites, hospitals, animal breeders, stables, kennels, for filling motor homes with water, boats, tanks in general and for all those uses which necessitate large water flow, up to a max. of 1500 liters per hour at 4 bar.
